The minister of Industry, Commerce & Tourism participated in the round table discussion Shabab2030, which moderated by MBC Al Amal’s Mrs. Mariam Farag at CH9 in Amwaj Island.
On the sideline of the event, the minister emphasized the interest and support of the government of Bahrain to create an integrated and supportive business environment system that will allow aspiring entrepreneurs to develop their ideas. He pointed out that the ministry of Industry, Commerce & Tourism is always working to adopt laws and regulations to support entrepreneurship and SMEs and develop it in line with the aspirations of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, stressing such event show and highlight the experiences of young entrepreneurs.
During the dialogue which was moderated by Mrs. Mariam Farag, they reviewed a series of initiatives that focus on supporting Arab youth in the region. They also discussed and reviewed ideas, learning points, challenges within the network, interests, and future opportunities of collaboration. The roundtable aims to make this a pilot, starting with Bahrain, to other networks across the region, as an example of how the Bahraini community-different entities are investing their time, energy and money into supporting young entrepreneurs.
The most important output of this roundtable discussion are key action steps needed to support Arab youth in the region, how to resolve the key challenges faced by entrepreneurs and ways of sustaining this community to share learning points and ideas (through Webinars, conferences, collaborative projects.
